On January 19, 2017, a class action lawsuit was filed accusing Brand Energy Services of California of failing to pay minimum wages to workers who worked as scaffold builders at refineries throughout California. The lawsuit further alleges that employees were not compensated for the time they were required to ride company provided buses from a designated staging area to a meeting site within the refinery, failure to pay overtime, failure to pay wages at termination, and failing to provide accurate wage statements.
